About Işıl Soygür

I was born in Ankara in 1972. Between 1980 and 1989, I completed my primary, middle, and high school education at TED Ankara College. In 1995, I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. In 2000, I completed my radiology residency at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and became a radiologist.

From 2000 to 2002, I completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroradiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Washington State, USA. Between 2003 and 2005, I completed my MBA at Bilkent University's Faculty of Business Administration.

In 2009, I returned to Washington State in the United States, where I served as an observer in the Breast Radiology department at the University of Washington Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Radiology Clinic. Immediately afterward, in March 2009, I began working as a specialist physician in the breast radiology clinic at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (HÜTF) Oncology Institute.

To date, I have evaluated tens of thousands of mammograms and breast ultrasounds, thousands of breast MRIs, and performed thousands of breast biopsies and localizations.

Throughout my career in breast radiology, I have closely observed how widespread breast cancer is and how early diagnosis truly saves lives. Aiming to expand screening programs by reaching as many women as possible, increase our awareness as a society and individuals, and facilitate the diagnostic processes for our patients during their treatment and follow-up, I continued my career by founding Işıl Imaging Center in October 2013.
